DKE Toys<\/a> has started to reveal their SDCC<\/a> 2018 lineup featuring top notch art action figures (\u2018bootleg\u2019 still has a certain charm).\u00a0 This year they are planning on 24 drops, in addition to their previously announced Space Rat<\/strong> project which combines vintage Salacious Crumb figures with eleven different artist backing boards.\u00a0 All of these releases will be available from the DKE<\/a> booth [#5045]<\/p>\n

So far they\u2019ve announced five figures\u2014four of which are Lucas inspired.\u00a0 Let\u2019s start with Stripewok<\/strong> (above) from Little Lazies<\/a>.\u00a0 This colorful Ewok homage is sculpted by hand in polymer clay to give it a distinct presence.\u00a0 Limited to 30 signed and numbered pieces, each figure is sculpted by the artist and will be available for $55<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking of Ewoks, DKE will also release Skipbro Toys\u2019<\/a> Ewokalypse Now<\/strong> resin figure ($55<\/strong>, 3.75\u201d scale, 30 s\/n pieces) featuring gorgeous card art from David Withers<\/a>.\u00a0 For another Star Wars vision, Jim Mahfood<\/a> brings his over-the-top style with Wookie Hash Pipe: Chewbee<\/strong> ($100<\/strong>, 3.75\u201d, 50 s\/n pieces) \u2013 the card art is amazing.<\/p>\n

Going all in on the art action figure concept, Manly Art\u2019s<\/a> unique, hand-painted character portraits for Cantina Denizen ($150) <\/strong> brings us back to the gloriously dark and seedy world of gamblers, smugglers and bounty hunters. Each of the 24 signed and numbered glittery green resin figures features a different, hand-painted character portrait on the backing card<\/strong>.\u00a0 Rounding out the first five, 3001: A Lad In Space<\/strong> ($75<\/strong>, 3.75\u201d scale, 50 s\/n pieces) from Lazarus To<\/strong>ys brings us layers upon layers with\u00a0 David Bowie as Major Tom by way of Kubrick\u2019s space opus. This one is a collective effort designed and painted by Galactic Jerkbag<\/a>, hand cast by DLLCustoms<\/a>, with head sculpt by Tyler Ham<\/a>, card art\u00a0 from Michael A.C.
