DKE<\/a> continues their Designer Con<\/a> tradition of inspiring toy-related art shows with \u2018Skin Deep<\/a>\u2019<\/strong>, featuring Scott Wilkowski\u2019s<\/a>  limited-edition skeletal resin editions of a selection of designer toys.   Over the years Scott has wowed collectors with gnarly, intricate, and astonishing special clear editions of popular mini-figs (including Yokas and BUDS) featuring realistic embedded skeletons.<\/p>\n

For \u2018Skin Deep\u2019, Wilkowski is upping the game by offering limited-edition \u2018infected\u2019 pieces for not one, but six toys \u2013 Gwin<\/strong> from October Toys<\/a> ($50), Otis & Otto<\/strong> from Scott Tolleson<\/a> ($50), the Sucklord<\/a> carded figure from Suckadelic<\/a> ($100), the Buff Monster<\/a> 3\u201d figure ($100), Frank Kozik\u2019s<\/a> 5\u201d Labbit by Kidrobot<\/a> ($150) and finally, Luke Chueh\u2019s<\/a> Possesed<\/strong> by Munky King<\/a> ($300).  Each figure will be limited to 50 pieces in 2 colorways of 25.  Since that\u2019s quite a bit of casting (300 pieces total), only 10 of each will be available at Designer Con on November 5th.<\/p>\n

After Designer Con, Skin Deep will hit the road with stops at Lulubell<\/a> (Meza,AZ) in December and Screaming Sky Gallery<\/a> (Portland, OR) in late February.   Btw, if you haven\u2019t already purchased your Designer Con tickets, head over to designercon.com to purchase them for the discounted price of $5<\/a> \u2013 they\u2019ll be $7 at the door this year (free admission after 3 PM). <\/p>\n
