E.T. x Jun Oson – Farewell Kiss

Previous Next

Japanese artist Jun Onson celebrates Steven Spielberg’s classic sci-fi film, with the officially-licensed E.T. x Jun Onson exhibition on display at the Isetan in Shinjuku through April 25th. The exhibition features original canvas paintings celebrating the 1982 film that brought us E.T. phoning home, put Reese’s Pieces on everyone’s want list and celebrated unforgettable friendships.

In addition to the original paintings, Oson has also created a limited-edition resin sculpture, Farewell Kiss (Ed. of 50, 9.84 x 5.91 x 7.87″), inspired by the final scene in which Gertie (Drew Barrymore) says goodbye to her extraterrestrial BFF. Oson captures the tender moment including E.T.’s surprised reaction to the unexpected gesture. Released in conjunction with the exhibition, the sculpture will be available via lottery.
