The Black and Gold Editions of the Sentai Maria art toys, mentioned last week, from Soasig Chamaillard and Artoyz Originals are now available for purchase direct from Artoyz. Known for her stylized statues of the Virgin Mary, Chamaillard was inspired to create Sentai Maria from her 2012 original series of pieces that combined the popular Power Rangers characters with the revered figure.
The two new editions emphasize different sides of the classic gold and black motiff and are united by it as seen in their identical helmets and chest wiring/insignia. Where the original five editions (red, blue, pink, yellow and green) feature matte treatments throughout, the Black and Gold editions appear to have glossy helmets.
The new Sentai Maria art toys in Black and Gold editions are limited to 100 pieces each and are available directly from Artoyz for €69.90 ($78).
