It’s been quite awhile since we’ve seen a new vinyl release from fine artist Brendan Monroe – he who created the popular Sours quite a few years back. That will change at SDCC with the release of his new seated Figment figure. Inspired by his current style of depicting the human form both in his fine art wood sculptures and his paintings, the new vinyl was sculpted by Monroe and produced in Japan by Grody Shogun. In the hectic race to SDCC, DKE doesn’t yet have a photo of the final toy and have instead given us the stylish silhouette above. For reference, we’ve attached photos of one of Monroe’s wood sculptures with a similar form to give you a better feel for the general style (after the jump). Limited to 100 pieces (50 clear red/50 clear blue), the 12” figure (head to toe) will be available at the DKE booth [#4728] for $120.
