Joshua David McKenney, the creator of the Pidgin brand of hand-crafted 1:4 fashion dolls, brings his talent for expressing female beauty to DC’s iconic heroine with the Wonder Woman x Pidgin Statues produced by Sideshow. McKenney’s emphasis on dramatic, flamboyant styling carries over to his take on arguably the preeminent female super hero.
Available in both Ivory and Ebony editions, McKenney’s design balances Wonder Woman’s heroic stature and the female form. The statue features a strong pose with Wonder Woman flexing her power on the left with her right hand resting on the Lasso of Truth on her hip. Her body is muscular, yet feminine, with a realistically toned upper body and curvy hips. The signature element here is Wonder Woman’s hair which rises almost straight up in a flowing, flamboyant, sculpture-like column. The design is finished with a star-shaped silver base with the iconic Wonder Woman logo.
Editions of 250, the Wonder Woman x Pidgin statues (resin, 14″) are available for pre-order from Sideshow for $204 each and are expected to ship in the April – July 2024 timeframe.
