Just in time for the holiday season comes a new art toy from Chris RWK. The Robots Will Kill figure from Clutter features the NYC graffiti artist’s signature robot in a 7.5″ ABS design. The new figure (s) debut in a Clutter exclusive Icons – Be Still My Heart edition that plays off everyone’s favorite family from Springfield. In case you’re wondering, yes, there is a Santa Claus… oh wait, yes, this is a different figure from RWK’s larger Robot vinyl figure. The more robots, the merrier right?
Beyond showcasing the charming, curious street art design that grown quite a fan base over the past two decade, the new Robots Will Kill has two unexepected design features. First, it’s actually two figures — one standing with arms down and one holding a sign. Clutter explains that this was done to ensure the best possible version of each of pose. Also, guided by the character’s slender proportions and spindly figures, Clutter is using ABS rather than vinyl with an eye towards maintaining the shape/detail over time in a collection.
An edition of 50, the Robots Will Kill – Icons – Be Still My Heart ABS art toy (7.5″) is available exclusively from Clutter in both the arms down ($100) and sign holding ($115) versions as well as the set of two for a combo price of $200. Also, be on the look out for the blue Home is Where The Heart Is edition (arms down and sign) from art toy retailers.
