Toy Art Gallery is set to open its big top for its free TAG Fest event this Saturday (11.11) at Toy Art Gallery HQ in Hollywood, CA. Focusing on art toys and lowbrow/pop surreal art, the multi-faceted one-day festival features a toy ‘flea market’ with releases from a large artist roster, many of whom will be at the event for a convention vibe. In addition to the vendors, Toy Art Gallery will offer original paintings (cash and carry) by high-profile artists and art toys from founder Gino Joukar’s personal collection including hard-to-find, unique pieces including art toy customs.
TAG Fest’s artist/vendor lineup includes Aidan Monahan, Akashik Records Toys, Ana Bagayan, Barbarian Rage, Bombastic Plastic, Chaz Bojorquez, Chompton, Comet Debris (Komi Harmon), Crummy Dog, Dollar Slice Bootlegs, Doubleparlour, Gabbie Custom Art, Galaxxor, Gomez Bueno, GoopMassta, Joemm’s Junk, Kouhigh Toys, Lizz Lopez, Lolligag, Malice, Martin Ontiveros, Matt ‘Obscure’ Perez, Monkey Paw Mexico, Monster Patrol Toys, Mugisha Osbert, Plasticgod, Scrooze Toys, Secret Handshake Toys, Slime Time Toys, Super Cooper Berella, SuragaMark, Transmission Toys, Trashbury Toys, We Become Monsters and more.
Beyond art for the wall and the display case, the event will also offer wearable art with the release of the TAG Fest apparel collection showcasing the lettering styling of LA graffiti legend Chaz Bojorquez.
