‘Peace Fingers’ by Shepard Fairey x Beyond The Streets

Shepard Fairey’s new Peace Fingers epoxy resin sculpture, a collaboration with Beyond The Streets, is based on his 2006 graphic which has since been released in several print editions. The 12-inch cream hue sculptural edition features a debossed floral design incorporating the artist’s iconic logo. The mostly flat nature of the graphic coupled with the comparatively thick cast lends the piece a 2.5D feel, an engaging translation of the original graphic.

That the piece is profoundly powerful at this moment, is no quirk of timing, but rather a sobering testament to the seemingly endless waves of strife suffered by humanity. In discussing the release, Fairey comments on the concept of peace in terms that underscore the work in striving towards an attainable, if elusive, goal: “Peace is not the absence of disagreement, it’s the ability to find a resolution to disagreement without violence. Peace takes more thought, more kindness, more diplomacy, and more creativity.”

An edition of 500, the Peace Fingers resin sculpture (12″) is available for preorder from Beyond The Streets for $350 and is slated to ship after December 5th, 2023.
