They’re back… Ron English’s trouble-loving trio return with the More Evil Monkeys – GID vinyl art toy set from Golem, Artoyz’s artist-driven label. These contrarian monkeys (popularized in Japanese tradition), do the exact opposite of the classic proverb advising us to ‘see no evil, hear no evil, say no evil’. A reaction to the often ruleless behavior on social media, these monkeys seem to revel in negativity.
The GID set features three wildy colored designs that seem to amplify the chaos of the trio. The emobdiment of extreme emotions run the spectrum from fuschia to cyan to mustard yellow. This third set follows the previous OG and the fast-food inspired ‘MC’ edition.
An edition of 200, the More Evil Monkeys – GID vinyl art toy set (5.91″) will be available on Thursday (10.5) from Artoyz for €250 ($267).
