Yoyo (batboy) by Brett Crawford x ToyQube

Brett Crawford’s Yoyo (batboy) polystone sculpture produced by ToyQube casts one of his signature wood puppet characters as a youthful superhero with a passion for yoyo’s and fresh kicks.

The confident hero’s DIY uniform blends a bat cowl with black + yellow streetwear including a hoodie, shorts and sneakers. Apparently shy, a small bat seeks cover behind the puppet’s left knee, peeking out ever so slightly. Continuing the artist’s focus on self reliance as showcased with his Self Made vinyl art toy , Yoyo’s clothing has noticeable hand-sewn seams through out.

Originally released as part of Crawford’s milestone solo exhibition at Phillips Auction House’s Asia HQ in Hong Kong back in June, the Yoyo (batboy) polystone sculpture (Edition of 350, 12.6″) will be available online on Friday (9.22) at 3 PM PDT for $595 as part of NTWRK’s Unboxed Festival showcasing art toys
