Japanese horror manga artist Hideshi Hino’s The Lovely Monster returns with a new soft vinyl art toy from Unbox Industries. Where the original featured a standing pose of the beast, the new version offers a seated, somewhat introspective design. Resting its head on its fist, with the other hand draped over its knee, the monster seems to be lost in contemplation or perhaps a bit bored. At any rate, this pose is less forceful than the first and plays up the ‘cuter’ aspects of Hino’s character design.
The The Lovely Monster (v2, 8.66″) vinyl art toy will be available on Saturday (8.5) @ 8 AM PDT from Unbox Industries for $95.
