Australian painter/muralist Leans (Sam Wilkinson) is set to release his first-ever vinyl toy of his Leansy house character. The Leans vinyl offers a stoned vibe with tab on the tongue, joint in one hand and flower in the other. The pastel blue house with yellow + green plaid shorts and blue kicks is fit for a ‘trip’ with pleasing yet slightly askew.
The vinyl figure follows Leans’ original resin house toys released back in 2021 which featured more of a street art vibe with brush and can in hand. Interestingly, toys offered an outlet for artistic freedom that Leans found lacking in the mural scene at the time, given the public nature of the work.
An edition of 100, the Leans vinyl art toy (10″) will be available on Friday (5.26) at 5:45 PM as part of the Unboxed Festival on NTWRK for $280. The figures are slated to ship in 1-2 weeks.
