Japan-based Refreshment Toy brings bakes its signature cats x food magic into bite-sized servings with the new Petanyan blind box series from Unbox Industries. Each of the six super-kawaii designs (5 standard + 1 mystery) feature cats playing in desserts + snacks. In fact, the clever design approach with cats and sweet accessories (‘hats’ + food bases) allows for hours of mix and match fun. So the cat hidden in a cupcake can swap places with the cat wearing a honey bee hat in a honey pot. As the one group shot shows (see gallery above), there’s no wrong way to play, only whatever strikes your fancy at the moment.
The Petanyan blind box series will be available from Unbox’s booths at Thailand Toy Expo 2023 and ToyConUK 2023. It will also be available with a general online drop on Saturday (4.8) at 8 AM PDT from Unbox Industries with individual blind boxes available for $19.50 and a display case of six for $114.
