Italian artist Codec Zombie (Alessandro Randi) showcases his full range of talents with the new Hommus Pollutus carded resin ‘bootleg’ figure. As the name strongly hints, the sasquatch-style character continues the artist’s work to raise awareness about the destruction of the environment. With tears flowing from its eyes, Hommus Pollutus is powerless to stop man’s persistent, routine trashing of the plant.
Every aspect of the figure was created by the artist. Truly self-produced, Codec Zombie sculpted the figure, cast it, shot the photos that are featured in the fold-out packaging, created the graphics for the backing card and thermoformed each blister. The figure unfolds nature’s plight with a standout presentation featuring a clever card design that doubles as a mini photo book.
An edition of 50, the Hommus Pollutus carded resin art toy will debut at ToyCon UK (12 pieces). The remaining stock will be available online sometime in May.
