Korean artist Nammoo celebrates intriguing house plants with his new Gigas project created in collaboration with CTF Gallery. The project imagines plants as people with a number of limited products including an art toy, planters and apparel.
The eye-catching art toy features a caudex-style plant person relaxing in a tub. The heavy black stripes add a visual texture that tie the plant to the tub, the ‘water’ and the little matching mini plant accessory. The figures are limited to five each in both the green and black editions.
Gigas will be on show at Gore Plant Seoul in Seoul (3.31 – 4.2) and Musinsa starting on March 30. From what we know so far, the project will be available online at Musinsa — though it’s unclear if overseas purchase will be possible. Will hopefully update with more details.
