The giant terror returns with the upcoming Dainigirujin – Black vinyl art toy by Japanese artist Grapebrain x Strangecat Toys. Previewed at DesignerCon 2022, the new Black edition features light blue and red accents.
Standing nearly 14″ tall, the creepy, mutated ‘cat’ is a large-format, freaked out take on the artist’s popular Hell’s Cat Onigiri. Compared to the smaller figure, Dainigirujin has an extra pair of hands (4 in all) and a completely re-imagined backside starting with a fully-sculpted mouth featuring sharp teeth and a sideways tongue. The split tails now feature carnivorous mouths—one open and one closed. Wild.
An edition of 100, the Dainigirujin – Black vinyl art toy (13.78″) will be available on Saturday, March 18, 2023 @ 9 AM PST from Strangecat Toys for $400.
