After two initial unpainted editions, Chop of MonsterFarm’s Kustom Kulture take on Frankenstein comes to life with the upcoming BOO OG sofubi from BlackBook Toy. This first fully-painted edition has a bright color palette blending neon green, orange, aqua, purple and more. Instead of the standard paint-mask based approach, the factory hand airbrushed the design following BBT’s Melo Wang’s paint master. The organic result has the look of a 1-off custom rather than a factory edition.
An edition of 25, the Boo OG sofubi art toy (10.6″) will be released in conjunction with Chop’s Death Dealer solo (4.14 – 4.16) at Sally’s Journey in Setagaya, Tokyo. To streamline the process and avoid a chaotic on-site drop, BBT is offering the figure for ¥36,000 (~$276) via a pick-up only lottery ending on Sunday (3.26) at 7:59 AM PDT. Winners must pick up the figure at the event in Japan — figures will not be shipped.
