Love is in the air, street art style with the upcoming Slick x Superplastic capsule dropping just ahead of Valentine’s Day. Headlining the capsule are two vinyl toy editions based on the Kranky spray-can variant (by Sket-One). The figure will drop in two editions, Love Red and Black Widow. From the one photo available so far and the video tease, we know that the Red edition features Slick’s familiar heart-shaped hand gesture and a clever, drippy, translucent spray cap while at least the black edition comes with multiple tools of the trade — paint roller, and two different style of paint markers. The one quick clip of the black edition seems to imply multiple arms, which would fit with the spider-themed name. In addition to the vinyl art figures, the capsule will also include apparel – both a white tee and a black hoodie have been revealed.
The Slick x Superplastic capsule drops on Wednesday (2.9, likely 2 PM PST) from Superplastic’s site and also at Superplastic NYC with a release/signing event with Slick himself on the 9th from 5-7 PM EST.
