Spanish artist Emilio Garcia puts on his thinking cap for his upcoming take on Bikini Bottom. The Patrick Brain resin art toy from Thunder Mates smartly reimagines the beloved starfish as an ocean-dwelling brain. A followup to his Sponge Brain design, the Patrick sculpt features Patrick’s normal pink skin transformed with Garcia’s signature brain motif and black shorts with neon palm frond details. This fun, pop culture-themed piece is the latest in a long line of thoughtful pieces featuring Garcia’s familiar brain fold texture including his popular Brainade and Forbidden Brain apple pieces.
An edition of 100, the Patrick Brain resin art toy (9.06″) will be available via a 48-hour lottery starting on Thursday (2.16) at 3PM PST from Thunder Mates for €430 (~$428). The smart starfish includes a signed/numbered COA and is expected to ship at the end of March.
