Utomaru x Tomenosuke are bringing back the popular Mimi The Cannibal Girl sofubi art toy—inspired by the cult film Cannibal Holocaust—after an extended absence. The new Jungle Green edition offers a subtly different take on the Mondo Green version which was released back in 2018.
Jungle Green incorporates delicate yellow spray on Mimi’s face, shoulders, knees and more. Mimi’s hair also features a pleasing gradient effect ranging from dark blue to bright blue. Finally, instead of the standard metal base, the new edition features a neon green acrylic base with a stylized ‘Mimi the Cannibal Girl’ inscription from Tsurezure Creation.
The Mimi The Cannibal Girl – Jungle Girl sofubi art toy (7.48″, 11.42″ at the end of spear) will be available on Tuesday (2.7) at 6:59 AM from Tomenosuke for ¥18,700 (~$128). The first release in several years, Jungle Green is an excellent opportunity for new collectors to pick up Utomaru’s striking, polarizing design sculpted by Yohei Kaneko of Mirock Toy.
