Chinese artist Abao has created a special deluxe set celebrating the come of the Year of the Rabbit, which begins on January 22nd, with the Lunar Rabbit Dede set. For the special occasion, she’s transformed Dede, her three-eyed spider child, into a rabbit with a clever zip-up, plush rabbit suit. Seeing as how Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays, Abao has included several extras including a set of Rabbit Dede red envelopes, a red tote bag and what appears to be a 2-patch set featuring Dede as a bunny and a one-eyed carrot. Finally, it all comes in a white basket, perhaps a forward-looking nod to Easter.
The Lunar Rabbit Dede vinyl art toy set (5″) will be available for preorder on Saturday (1.14) at 7 AM PDT from Unbox Industries for $150. The set is scheduled to ship in February.
