As part of its packed DesignerCon release schedule, ToyQube will launch its Wooden Astro Boy – Greeting figure in a striking special full-color treatment at the show. This premium version of TQ’s popular Greeting figure—featuring the traditional Thai greeting—uses different wood types for the colors rather than dye or paint.
This pure-wood approach preserves the natural beauty of the wood and the ideal concept of an all-wood design. It also results in tastefully muted colors with a retro appearance and appeal befitting Osamu Tezuka’s iconic manga hero. The figure comes in a handsome wood box with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
The Wooden Astro Boy – Greeting premium wood art toy sculpture will be available from Toy Qube’s DesignerCon booth (#1005) in both 12″ (edition of 200, $1680) and 27.5″ ($6500) editions in limited quantities for the event.
