Chicago-based artist Louis De Guzman continues to expand and develop his signature Between the Lines body of work with the new Moving Parts 001 functional sculpture. The design features the artist’s signature geometric shards surrounding an ornamental vase held at a distance by a pair of hands.The piece is also a dual experiment in functional art with the sculpture serving as an incense burner and a flower vase.
De Guzman has also designed a custom scent, also named Moving Parts 001, included with the sculpture in a sample size incense cone. The scent features a sophisticated blend of Orange Flower, Star Grapefruit, Cedarwood, Peruvian Leather and Palo Santo.
The Moving Parts 001 polystone sculpture (14″) will debut at DesignerCon 2022 (11.18 – 11.20) in two single-color editions of 500— Cement and Onyx—for $875 each. De Guzman’s newest release flows into an artful lifestyle by combining sculpture, incense burner and vase.
