Tristan Eaton’s Blood Lord 24″ vinyl art toy with 3DRetro is set to turn heads at DesignerCon. The second edition of Eaton’s Vice Lord, the crimson red edition evokes the spirit of the sculpt which he describes as the ‘patron saint of self destruction’. The free-flowing figure is rich with symbolism from a life led on the thrilling, decadent edge. As with his murals, Eaton juxtaposes varied references from cultural symbols to well-known idioms (‘burning the candle at both ends). Stylistically inspired by Japanese robots and anime, the Blood Lord is a creative self-portrait of the artist’s past.
An edition of 50, the Blood Lord vinyl art toy will be available at DesignerCon in Anaheim (11.18 – 11.20).
