Known for his darkly sharp white, Spanish artist Joan Cornellà’s collaboration with AllRightReserved continues with the upcoming Send Yourself Nowhere vinyl art toy. Perhaps a commentary on the state of travel in the pandemic era or more generally the difficulty of moving ahead, the humorous, quirky piece features a smiling man seemingly hitching a ‘ride’ in a shipping box.
The thoughtful two-piece design allows for plenty of poses including some particularly Cornella-esque ones including head-first (butt side up?) The design also plays off the creativity of the collector with a sticker sheet of shipping labels for DIY personalization. Plaster ’em everywhere or keep it pure vanilla — your choice. The figure is being released in coordination with Cornellà’s Send Yourself Nowhere But Japan solo opening at StandBy in Tokyo on August 25th.
