Shanghai-based Mspring weaves a charming tale with the new LiLiOS 100% Magical Wool resin art toy from the new Silent Trick studio. The cute craftsman in the gnome-like hat brings the wool to life while enjoying a smoke from an enchanted pipe.
Perhaps inspired by old-school stop motion animation, LiLiOS brings the story alive with a short chair with backwards shoes on its ‘feet’ and a basket of raw wool. This wool wizard enchants with the expressive face and organic, by-hand sculpting style. Is that a wink? Maybe.
An edition of 200, the LiLiOS 100% Magical Wool (6.3″) resin + metal figure was released in China via Pop Mart Robo Shops for ¥780 ($115) and sold out in a day. Of the 200 pieces, 18 were special editions with slightly rounder eyes. While LiLiOS will not be available in additional colorways, we’re looking forward to additional characters from Mspring.
