Taiwanese tattoo artist Hori Xiu remixes the classic fairy tale of a wooden boy with the new Edo Puppet Matsunoke vinyl art toy from Force of Art. The samurai with a very familiar appearance has a most peculiar nose with a pine tree growing out of it. Perhaps Matsunoke has told a few too many fabricated tales?
Xiu’s creation is a creative take on Pinocchio—an old-world puppet by way of Japan. The swordsman’s blue and red clothes evoke the inspiration with a feudal flair right down to the geta sandals.
The Edo Puppet Matsunoke vinyl art toy (7.68″) is available for preorder from Get Ur Toys for $139.99 until August 28 at 3 AM PDT. The figure is expected to ship in Q4 2022.
