RX-Kid by 2petalrose

First shown as an unpainted proto at DesignerCon London 2021, 2petalrose’s Gundam-inspired RX-Kid art toy is set for launch on Friday, July 22, 2022. This mech variant of the artist’s signature Katana Kid figure, RX-Kid takes its design cues from the classic RX-78 Gundam.

Debuting in the iconic red, white and blue livery, the eagerly awaited special edition features two brand-new accessories including a bold, full-coverage RX-78 styled helmet with the series’ lotus crest, matching shield and rocket pack. The figure also includes a matching colorway of the new removable Oni-style mask created by RLux Customs. As with all Katana Kid’s, RX-Kid also includes a katana with faux leather strap, and removable top know accessory.

While 2petalrose has not announced official release details, the promo photos imply that there will be a deluxe Gundam-patterned stand—perhaps a separate product— that holds both the RX-Kid specific flags and the showcase helmet. For 2pr fans, this is likely to be one of this year’s standout drops.
