Fools Paradise is continuing its head-turning concept of watch-faced characters with three new releases announced in conjunction with recently opened the Honomono Taiketsu (本物対決) exhibition at Shout Gallery in Hong Kong. Building on the previously released Honmono Taiketsu (10.21) figure (panda), the brand has introduced Reverse Panda, GMT Dark Rise and Vintage Bart.
The three new vinyl art toys blends pop culture and luxury with each character featuring a different Foolex watch face inspired by the standard bearer of luxury timepieces. The exhibition also features an entire collection of Honmono Taiketsu figures/sculptures beyond these three new production pieces. While some are likely one-offs, it seems plausible that others might also be produced. With the release of the new figures, Fools Paradise has taken the concept from a single standalone release to what appears to be an ongoing series.
