In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Walt Disney’s classic animated film, Kidrobot has collaborated with Disney and artist Colus on a new Life-Size Bambi & Thumper resin sculpture set. Known for his smooth yet angular animal designs, Colus brings his signature aesthetic to Bambi and Thumper.
Those familiar with Colus’ previous work will likely think of his previous Deer XO resin sculpture. Perhaps not surprisingly, the Bambi treatment seems to flow out of that previous work in terms of the overall approach to the deer anatomy.
The new lifesize set is a perfect opportunity for collectors to bring the magic of the film into their homes. Drawn from the film, the instantly recognizable color design completes Colus’ interpretation of the two characters.
An edition of 300, the Bambi & Thumper Life-Size resin sculpture set is available for preorder from Kidrobot for $700 and is expected to ship in Q4 2022. For those at SDCC, Colus will be signing on Saturday (1-2 PM) at the Kidrobot booth (#2846).
