After the upheaval of the pandemic, the energetic Androids are back on the job, perhaps in different careers than the ‘before’ times. Andrew Bell’s new Android @Work series celebrates twelve different professions including Agriculture/Farmer, Cafe/Barista, Chef/Baker, Contractor/Construction, Developer/Coder, Executive/Lawyer, Healthcare/Doctor, Logistics/Mail, Reporter/Journalist (Blogger?), Teacher/Counselor, Tech Support/IT and Waitstaff/Host — see the lineup image for the full description of each profession.
The dozen fun designs bring each career to life with numerous, detailed tools of the trade including the construction worker’s flathead screwdriver and hardhat, the healthcare worker’s face mask and stethoscope, and the tech support person’s Android ID badge, Pixelbook and network cable. Each figure has articulated antennae, arms and heads.
While this is a mini series, it’s not a blindbox series. Each design is packaged in a window box making it easy to pick the one that matches your career or the ones that you just have to have. One downside, apparently no chase—or is that perhaps a plus?
The Android @Work Mini Series (3″) will be available on Monday (5.16) from Dead Zebra in a full set of 12 or as non-blind individual figures. The series should also be available at your favorite art toy retailer.
