Verdy, the Japanese artist behind the Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth streetwear labels, has collaborated with vinyl toy pioneer Bounty Hunter on a pair of new art toys headed for release at NTWRK’s second annual Unboxed festival (4.26 – 4.27) for which he is the art director.
The release brings together each collaborator’s signature characters, Verdy’s Vick and Bounty Hunter’s Skull-kun, in matching black and white editions. For added flair, the black sections are cast with silver glitter. The striking set links Verdy’s Vick to the beginnings of designer vinyl toys in Japan and really, the world. This anticipated drop follows Verdy’s previous Vick figure created with another Japanese vinyl pioneer, Secret Base.
The Verdy x Bounty Hunter vinyl art toys will be released as part of the Unboxed festival—featuring a curated collection of art toys— happening exclusively on the NTWRK app on April 26 – 27, 2022.
