James Groman’s take on Marvel Comics‘ hero of the swamp returns with the new The Man-Thing Psychedelic edition soft vinyl art toy from Mondo. While the OG edition (November 2021) featured the lumbering, powerful beast in a natural green and brown color scheme, Psychedelic lives ups to its name with a retina-searing purple, blue and green design.
The vivid, wider color palette highlights Groman’s natural ability to sculpt fearsome monsters. The contrast of the blue/green against the base purple highlights The Man-Thing’s head, the skull at the base of the wicked tree on his shoulder, his powerful biceps, and his claws. It may not be canon, but it’s most certainly radical.
The The Man-Thing Psychedelic edition soft vinyl art toy will be available for pre-order on Tuesday (4.12) at 10 AM PDT from Mondo. While pricing has not been announced, the original edition retailed for $250.
