Kenny Wong’s Space Molly blasts off into an anime/manga crossover with the upcoming Mega 400% Space Molly x Chibi-Maruko Chan art toy from Pop Mart. The red/white design is based on Momoko ‘Maruko’ Sakura, the lead girl character in the manga/anime series. This is a blind release in that the figure’s pull-down helmet visor features one of three facial expressions which we’ll call open eyes (70%), closed eyes (20%), and sideways eyes (10%). The design concept is a fun way to capture the character’s personality and changing emotions.
The Mega 400% Space Molly x Chibi-Maruko Chan art toy (11.61″) will be available on Wednesday (4.27) at 7 PM PDT from Pop Mart’s online store for $209. The design is also available in the coveted 1000% format for $925.
