Known for elaborate 1/6 scale figures, artist Bryan Lie (IMCMPLX) has created the new Kidd Tengu Red Canbot vinyl art toy in collaboration with Czee13 x Clutter. Lie’s crossover design features a futuristic take on the mythical Japanese creature, a fun complement to his GOD COMPLEX 1/6 series featuring modern interpretations of ancient gods.
The figure brings a high-tech vibe to the tengu’s classic red/black masked appearance with angular, faceted edges throughout, most notably on the characteristically exaggerated nose. The design finishes with a cryptic, maze-like sole pattern. Moving beyond a traditional colorway, the new Canbot appears to feature a custom-sculpted head with the long nose, white mask band and hair.
An edition of 100, the Kidd Tengu Canbot vinyl art toy (5.5″) will be available on Thursday (4.7) at 9 AM PDT from Clutter for preorder for $95 each with shipping scheduled for the end of June 2022. As with all Canbots, the figure features the coveted can rattle and articulated spray cap.
