Gigabot IV by HappFactory x Soft Steel Toys

Soft Steel Toys is set to release the Gigabot IV vinyl art toy, the latest edition of HappFactory’s recently introduced old-school giant robot. The latest in Soft Steel’s growing line of vinyl robot marvels, the Gigabot has a wide, powerful body with automotive vibes. As a fun ‘hidden feature’, collectors can remove the chest panel to go under the ‘hood’ to discover the gears that drive the robot. Unfortunately the promo pics of this edition don’t show off this feature. See the video below for a hands-on look at the OG edition and a look at the removable panel at the very end.

The new IV edition features a weathered blue body with red, silver and gold accents. The blue and red layout brings back memories of the classic Tetsujin 28 with its blue body, red ‘belt’ and red feet. Call it a subtle homage.

The Gigabot IV vinyl art toy (11.81″) drops on Friday (4.15) at 3 AM PDT from Soft Steel Toys. Pricing has not been announced. As a point of reference, the OG edition retailed for $190.
