Fools Paradise and ZCWO have partnered with Straveling Muzeum on the head-turning Mona Lisa // Discovering Fools Paradise vinyl art toy bust. The figure features a mind-bending take on Leonardo Da Vinci’s timeless portrait with a sculpture of Mona Lisa in the process of splitting apart to reveal an alternate, younger identity beneath.
The striking piece recalls Fools Paradise’s Super Recall art toy which of course was inspired by Total Recall’s stunning scene and concept. From the photos (renders?) the piece delivers on the wild concept. Rather than simply a 2D applied wrap, each of the face segments appears to be fully sculpted. This is the latest in a series of Mona Lisa toys from Straveling Muzeum.
As with many of Fools Paradise’s pieces, the scale of this piece is striking. At 17.24″, the volume is impressive, amplifying the wow factor of the concept.
