The Uyu & Assteriskat – Midnight Red vinyl figure is the third and final edition of the original art toy from LA-based painter Soey Milk and Munky King. A stylistic change of pace from Soey Milk’s primary painting style grounded in the physical world, the comforting art toy features a little girl, Uyu, nestled in the embrace of the surreal Assteriskat.
While Uyu has always been front and center, the Midnight Red edition gives new focus to the mysterious Assteriskat. This is the first version with painted details on each of the creature’s many heads—the two previous versions featured unpainted, solid color treatments.
Designed as two separate figures, the smaller Uyu fits securely between Assteriskat’s heads. This approach opens up mix and match possibilities across the three editions.
An edition of 200, the Uyu & Assteriskat – Midnight Red vinyl art toy (6.5″) is available from Munky King for $100. The Lavender Mist and Moon Jelly editions are also available for collectors looking to complete their set.
