Instinctoy is celebrating 2022 with its New Year Project featuring five gold art toys. The releases include the Jiro Godjira – Golden Version by Chino Lam, Mecha Rangeas – Golden Version by T9G, King Korpse: Zero – Golden Version from James Groman, The Golden Champ robot figure from Kwong and Instinctoy’s original Mega Ice Liquid – Golden Version art toys. Rather than release the figures ‘lucky bag’ style, Instinctoy is releasing each of the special New Year drops separately for 2022.

Paying homage to the king kaiju, the Jiro Godjira – Golden Version vinyl art toy (99 pcs, ¥22,000/$191) features a mutated Jiro fish alien design cast in clear gold glitter with silver glitter for the eyes and dorsal spikes. Emphasizing the scale of the character, the figure includes a fun train accessory (red/clear) that is designed to dangle from the fearsome beast’s mouth.

The Mecha Rangeas – Golden Version vinyl art toy (11 pcs, ¥88,000/$764) is an extremely-limited ‘gold plated’ version of T9G’s futuristic take on his arguably signature Rangeas monster character. The gleaming figure is individually numbered by the artist on the back. T9G has also added his hand-done personal touches to the packaging from numbering to a drawn version of his logo.

The King Korpse: Zero – Golden Version vinyl art toy (13″, 55 pcs, ¥66,000/$573) from James Groman is the debut edition of the new Zero sculpt of the artist’s wildly popular ape. An origin figure of sorts, the figure depicts the character prior to becoming King Korpse. The organic design emphasizes the muscular power of the ape while hinting at what’s to come with a snake wrapped (with rhinestone eyes) around one arm and bandaged leg. This special edition also features gold-plated eyeballs. And of course, the Erosion Liquid character responsible for raising King Korpse from the dead can be seen on the beast’s backside.

The intricate Golden Champ robot vinyl figure (15.35″, 55 pieces, ¥99,000/$859) is a special edition of the upcoming collaboration between Kwong and Instinctoy. The design brings back the glory of old-school Japanese-style die cast robots, only in vinyl. Standing a towering 15.35″ tall with 80 individual parts, this robotic warrior features 18 points of articular and two weapons – a raygun and sawtooth blade.

Last but certainly not least comes the Mega Ice Liquid – Golden Version (9.47″, 33 pieces, ¥55,000/$477) resin art toy. The figure features the largest version of Instinctoy’s mascot character with a gradiated paint job resembling gold ore. Weighing 2.2 pounds, this is a must-have version for Liquid collectors.

Each of Instinctoy’s New Year Project art toys is available via lottery through Sunday (12.13) at 6:59 PM PDT via its International and Japan-only sites. May your luck be golden.
