Mr. Animal by Tyler Crowe

Previous Next

Pensacola-based Tyler Crowe’s Mr. Animal is a curious character, at once a bird, cat, and a dog with a quick head change. The humorous character has a mostly normal appearance except for the bone sticking out of his neck instead of a head. No worries though. Instead of frigthening everyone away, he can transform into a bird, cat or dog by placing the a head onto his handy neck bone.

Digitally sculpted via Nomad Sculpt on a mobile device (!), the Mr. Animal resin art toy has a relaxed, dynamic pose that’s full of life. The character’s clothes seem to move and wrinkle with his friendly, chill ‘thumbs up’ gesture. Of course, the charming, swappable heads really do make the character. That said, the figure really stands out with well…his exposed neck bone.

An edition of 30, the Mr. Animal resin art toy set (7″ figure, 2″ heads) is available for pre-order from Tyler Crowe’s site for $140 and includes the Mr. Animal No. ! zine. The figure will ship in about two weeks as they are made to order. The shop also features separately available Mr. Animal posters, one for each animal.

  1. These toys are great! They’re creative, strange, and hand made….I bought the whole set including the posters. These will be displayed in our library as a perfect conversation piece. Looking forward to any additions to the collection.
