‘Relax in the Explosion’ by SONG x Wild Open Arts

Previous Next

Taiwanese graffiti artist SONG has released the lighthearted Relax in the Explosion resin art sculpture in conjunction with Wild Open Arts for the One Offs art fair at the W Taipei (12.24 – 12.26). The dynamic piece showcases SONG’s signature Takumashi Syonen character basking in a powerful explosion. Fueled by SONG’s manga-inspired aesthetic, the Rhino Beetle kid has appeared in murals, a cartoon series and a fun, somewhat ironic resin art toy featuring the character as a budding bug catcher.

The new playful sculpture continues to unfold the story of this rather unusual child. Growing up can be challenging enough with plenty of obstacles, especially for one with a wild secret.

A signed/numbered edition of 10, the Relax in the Explosion sculpture (6.3″ height/14.57″ diameter) is only display at the W Taipei hotel as part of the One Offs fair. Contact Wild Open Arts for inquiries.
