Unbox Industries x Sanrio are celebrating the winter holidays with the Hello Kitty RMX Project. The project features crossover figures blending the iconic Hello Kitty with the signature characters of several Unbox affiliated artists. The varied designs show the near universal appeal of Hello Kitty’s red bow and familiar blue overalls.
The RMX figures are slated for staggered release at Unbox’s Christmas Countdown event at D2 Place in Hong Kong over the course of three weeks. Unbox is also offering the releases online through weekly drops. The first week’s online drops (12.3) included Greenie (4.5″, $60) by Too Natthapong, Chubbi Chunk (3.5″, $40) by Jim Dreams, Monster Little (4.5″, $80) by Ziqi Wu and Hello Aki (2.5″, $35) by Akinori Oishi. This week’s online release features Greenie V2 (5″, $60) from Too Natthapong featuring Hello Kitty in Greenie’s elf outfit, Abao’s one-eyed girl (6″, $70) , Puffy Puffpuff (5″, $40) by Silvia Puff, and Kewii by Too Natthapong.
This week’s four Hello Kitty RMX Project art toys will be available on Saturday (12.11) at 7 AM PDT from Unbox Industries. All of the week 1 releases are currently available as well. Officially, the RMX figures are only available to residents of Hong Kong and Singapore.
