Unbox Industries next set of releases includes the curious Chubbi Cheeks ‘Nutty Buddy’ Supersize vinyl art toy from Jim Dreams. Yes, it’s the Chunk-y take on Mr. Peanut who’s apparently quite popular in Hong Kong. This figure is the latest in a long line of food mascot cosplay editions of Jim Dreams’ signature Chunk character.
So what’s curious? Well, if this is the new Supersize 6″ version, where/when was the 3″ version released? The name of the toy—Chubbi Cheeks and not Chubbi Chunk— and an old IG post point to the 3″ being a secret chase from the previously released Chubbi Cheeks blindbox series.
The Chubbi Cheeks ‘Nutty Buddy’ Supersize vinyl art toy (6″) will be available on Monday (12.27) at 7 AM PST from Unbox Industries for $75. The figure is also available at the Unbox Christmas Countdown event at D2 Place in Hong Kong.
