JT Studio turns his attention to the track with the upcoming Akira Nakai 1/6 scale figure in collaboration with Nakai’s Tokyo-based RAUH-Welt Begriff (RWB) automotive tuning house and OSK Tools.
The figure features the renowned performance tuner in a red + black RWB jumpsuit with a RWB 390 RC car accessory—a nod to Nakai’s popular body kits for the iconic Porsche 911—and steering wheel-style controller. The car fits neatly into a functional mini RWB Rimowa tool case. From the street to the sidewalk, racing and drifting is in Nakai’s blood.
An edition of 200, the Akira Nakai 1/6 art toy figure will be available for preorder on Wednesday (12.23) at 6 PM PST from JT Studio (30 pieces, $525) and Thursday (12.24) at 3 PM PST from OSK Tools (170 pieces, $520). Carrying over to the performance garage, the figure comes packaged in a 1:1 metal tool box.
