Good things come to those who wait. First shown in unpainted form just over two years ago, the emphatic What the Effing Eff!? vinyl art toy from The Chung x Martian Toys captures the all-too-familiar feeling of pent-up frustration when things just don’t come together the way we expect them or hope them to. The long-awaited figure has just debuted at NYCC 2021.
Based on The Chung’s visceral, humorous painting, the figure features a pink creature who’s about to lose it as his ‘play’ with wood blocks takes an ugly turn as he tries to forcefully ‘fit’ a cube into a star hole. The 10″ figure comes with a removable blue cube block, four additional blocks and a silk bag to hold all the sources of frustration.
The What the Effing Eff!? vinyl art toy set (10″) is available at Martian Toys’ NYCC booth (#1058) for $200. Look for a general release in the near future.
