Toy Tokyo 20th Anniversary Artist Edition Watches

Previous Next

Legendary NYC retailer Toy Tokyo and its pioneering founder, Lev Levarek, are set to launch a series of Toy Tokyo 20th Anniversary Artist Edition Watches at New York Comic-Con (10.7 – 10.10). The initial trio of watches include designs from Ron English, Simone Legno (Tokidoki) and QUICCS.

Going beyond the status quo of artist watches, the series adds an art toy vibe with expressive, three-dimensional designs that bring each artist’s signature character to life. Each watch celebrates the character’s distinctive form with custom silicone-style elements that extend the design beyond the circular watch face. The coyclorful line up includes Ron English’s M.C. Supersized, his signature sendup of fast food, QUICCS’s cybernetic TEQ63 Bullet Punk warrior and Simone Legno’s Tiger Salary Man, a charming homage to the hardworking everyman. As anniversary releases, the hour hand features ’20th’ while the minute hand features ‘Toy Tokyo.’

Combining artistry with proven time-keeping technology, the Toy Tokyo 20th Anniversary Watches feature OEM Fossil watches with a Japanese quartz mechanism, easy-to-remove rubberized bans with snap closures, 3M water-resistant case and a Toy Tokyo 20th Anniversary embossed design on the flip side. Each watch comes in handsome black on black slip case packaging with a character-specific comic fold-out or collector card.

The Toy Tokyo 20th Anniversary Watches will be available first at Toy Tokyo’s NYCC booth #1566 (10.7 – 10.10) for $150 and subsequently online at toytokyo.com. Adding to the fun, the Toy Tokyo watch series is set to continue with watches from Joe Ledbetter and Nathan Jurevicius.
