Influencer by Sad Salesman x Clutter at Five Points Festival 2021

Reflecting upon the upside down reality we’ve had to endure, Sad Salesman has created his Influencer resin art toy with the folks at Clutter. The infectiously engaging piece gives new meaning to ‘getting in your head’ as an unsuspecting person lands head first into a rather unhappy red jello-like character. As the artist mentions, the piece is a comment about people on social media pushing and pulling us to influence behavior and also the newfound urgency of working together for public health. And… it also serves as a welcome vent for feeling trapped by it…all.

“Besides my love for translucent characters, this piece is based on how the last year or two has felt. A constant threat of our bodies being infected while we were bombarded with a million different opinions from a million different directions on social media, forcing their way into our heads. During this time I was also reminded that the actions of complete strangers can have a very real effect on your life.” – Sad Salesman

An edition of 10, the Influencer resin art toy (6.5″) will be available as part of the Five Points Festival 2021 virtual event on NTWRK on Sunday (10.31) at 7:30 AM PDT for $300.
