MINDstyle and Funko have just opened a 3,000 square-foot popup store at the Jingan Joy City in Shanghai (North Tower, First Floor Entrance 5). Set against a backdrop evoking 30’s-era Shanghai, the popup features several Ron English x MINDstyle releases as well as Funko Pop! exclusives.
A must-visit for Ron English collectors, the popup’s releases include two exclusive art toys—the MINDstyle Exclusive Cheezy Sunflower (Pink) from Made By Monsters and the MINDstyle Exclusive 100%/400% Grin Be@rbrick from Medicom Toy. The exclusive drops are just the beginning of the Popaganda shopping experience. As seen in the photos, several additional toys are featured including a new edition of the Mona Lisa Grin vinyl art toy and a new figure based on English’s striking Basquiat Boxer Everlast painting and giant sculpture. The shop also features a wide selection of Ron English apparel and lifestyle items.
POP! collectors will be drawn by three exclusive releases including a DC Heroes Deathstroke (Imperial Court), a Pop! Asia Freddy Funko (Monkey King) and Martian Manhunter box set, and a Pop! Asia Sun Wu Kong with a woodgrain-style design.
Running through 10.31, the joint popup also includes a well-stocked Futura Laboratories x Pop Life capsule as well as a line of apparel from LA-based RCNSTRCT Studio. As seen in the photos, the shop also offers plenty of feed-worthy selfie backdrops.
