‘Vandulism’ Solo by Vandul at Clutter Gallery

Incognito LA-based street artist Vandul is making the trip to New York for his Vandulism solo show which opens on Saturday (7.10) evening at Clutter Gallery. The new collection will feature several 1/1 3D-printed resin works featuring his namesake faceless, hoodie-wearing character.

Perhaps the highlight of the show is You Just Had To Be There, a special collection featuring the Vandul character and several of his well-known art toy friends enjoying a wild night together. The collection pays homage to works by KAWS, Luke Chueh, 100% Soft and more with 1/1 pieces that will be offered via auction.

Several of the pieces focus on the 9-to-5 daily grind, from the Trapped series with 1/1 pieces featuring Vadul stuck in the medical, legal, and service fields. On a darker note, Sweatshop Vandul is a reminder of the true human cost behind much of the fashion we enjoy.

From grind to glory, Cyber Vandul 2 recasts the hoodie dude as a deadly ‘Snake’ operative straight out of the legendary MGS franchine. Speaking of games, Vandul! celebrates the 8-bit platform heros many of us grew up with.

The show will also feature the new Vandual Walk Pastel vinyl art toy from Vandul x Clutter x White Label Creamery. 50 pieces will be available as part of the show with the other 50 released at White Label Creamery on Fairfax in Los Angeles on Saturday at 11 AM PDT.

Online sales for Vandulism will begin on Saturday (7.10) at 2 PM EDT from Clutter. The physical opening reception is set for Saturday evening (7.10) from 6 to 9 PM at Clutter Gallery in Beacon, NY. Vandul will be in the house—perhaps in a disguise :). Come out for the art, to meet the man behind the hoodie and for a chance to win to win a limited-edition enamel pin or print.
